Players after Fatality

Folk horror is harsh. Gruesome death is one of the most likely fates for many characters, sometimes well before their time. It is true to genre, the shocking kind of twists that really make the game feel like a horror game. It can also lead to a very boring experience for a player whose character dies early. While it is acceptable for players to simply accept their characters fate, must they simply witness the folly of their fellow players for hours while they do nothing?

The following supplement is an optional system to keep players in the action, even when their characters are no longer among the living. Get back into the narrative as memories, ghosts, vengeful martyrs, traitorous folk, or other presences!
